Brief Description: The Regional Municipality of York (the Region) is inviting Bids from qualified Bidders to provide articulated (18m) conventional and BRT Buses for a period of three years with an option for the Region to renew for an additional 2 years. The Bidders’ Meeting will be held on August 23, 2018 at 55 Orlando Avenue, Town of Richmond commencing at 2:30 p.m. A non-mandatory bidders’ meeting has been scheduled on September 13, 2018, Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at 55 Orlando Avenue, Room 20140. The conference call information is as follows: Toll-free dial-in number: 1-855-331-8822 Conference ID: 3350771 Bidders must furnish a certified cheque or bank draft in the amount of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000) when submitting their Bid. The cheque or bank draft should be made payable to The Regional Municipality of York. In lieu of a certified cheque or bank draft, Bidders may submit a Bid Bond or Letter of Credit in the approved forms. Bidders shall submit with their Bid, an undertaking to bond for a performance bond for 20% of the total contract price. On behalf of the Council of The Regional Municipality of York, I wish to advise that the bid for Contract No. T-18-41 for the Supply and Delivery of Conventional/BRT Eighteen Metre Buses has been accepted as follows:
1. The Supply and Delivery of 29 Conventional Eighteen Metre Buses was awarded to New Flyer Industries Canada ULC at the total bid price of $ 26,976,757.01 excluding HST
2. The Supply and Delivery of 27 BRT Eighteen Metre Buses was awarded to Nova Bus, a division of Volvo Group, Canada Inc. at the total bid price of $26,368,430.00 excluding HST.
