BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK The Markham Bullock Church Highway 7 watermain was installed in 1978 under Contract No. 66. It is a ductile iron watermain which is supplied by the Milliken Pumping Station 900 mm diameter watermain on McCowan Road. The 600 mm diameter watermain runs east along Bullock Drive from McCowan Road to Hawkridge Avenue, then enters through an easement onto Wilson Street and runs south onto Main Street Markham North. The watermain then reduces to 450 mm in diameter, continues east along Church Street and turns south onto Ninth Line, before reducing further to 400 mm in diameter and becoming City of Markham jurisdiction south of Berczy Gate. In 2017 and 2018, approximately 2 km of the 600 mm ductile iron watermain was rehabilitated between McCowan Road and Main Street Markham North under contract T-17-127. 

The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate and/or replace the remaining section, from valve chamber T-17-127-07 at the intersection of Main Street Markham North and Wilson Street, along Church Street and Ninth Line to south of Berczy Gate.
