BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK -  The Region is inviting Bids from pre-qualified contractors for the Ballantrae Water Supply System Upgrades Project, as further described in Section A of the RFTC Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”).

MEETING: A non-mandatory Bidder's site meeting will be held on April 17, 2024 commencing at 10:00am sharp at the Ballantrae Wells 1&2, 15431 McCowan Road, Newmarket, followed by the Ballantrae Wells 3&4, 15456 Highway 48, Whitchurch-Stouffville and then Mussleman's Lake Elevated Tank, 14350 Ninth Line, Whitchurch-Stouffville. All bidders are encouraged to submit any questions to the Region using the ‘Submit a Question’ feature in the Bidding Website before or after the information meeting. Although the meeting is not mandatory it is highly recommended.

Bidders are prohibited from the use of any technology, including without limitation artificial intelligence, to record the content of any Bidders Meeting.  Failure to adhere to this rule may result in the disqualification of the bidder and the rejection of their bid.

Bidders are required to have their PPE, such as hard hat, vest and steel-toe boots at the sites.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• DEPOSIT:  All Bids shall be accompanied by a digital Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the Subtotal Contract Amount generated on the Bidding Website in the Schedule of Prices and a digital Undertaking to Bond. The forms of Bid Bond and Undertaking to Bond acceptable to the Region are set out in Section C of the RFTC Particulars (Appendix A) under C. Mandatory Requirements.
• CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION (CORTM): Any Bids received from Bidders who are not CORTM certified, who have not obtained CORTM equivalency or who have not submitted a valid Letter of Reciprocity shall be rejected from further consideration.
