BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK The proposed scope of work includes, but is not limited to the provision of landscape maintenance activities of the planted areas (median and/or boulevard planters, planting beds, softscape areas, roundabouts and/or landscaped areas), including litter and debris removal, perennial deadheading, weeding, pruning, cutting back woody and herbaceous plant material, cultivating and fertilizing, and watering.

The Region anticipates issuing two (2) tenders in late 2023 for landscape maintenance activities including watering of tree, shrub and perennial median and boulevard planters, roundabouts and/or softscape areas for the following locations:

• Hwy 7, from Bayview Ave to Sciberras Road in the City of Markham
• Yonge Street, from Hwy 7 to 19^th Ave in the City of Richmond Hill
• Roundabout at York Durham Line and Concession 9, in the Town of Stouffville
• Roundabout at 9^th line and Bayberry Street in the Town of Stouffville
• Major Mackenzie Drive, from Barons Street to Jane Street in the City of Vaughan
• Rutherford Road, from Keele Street to Peter Rupert Avenue, in the City of Vaughan

The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this RFPQ.
