BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK - Construction for the renovation of the Woodbridge Lane Community Space Renovations, including but not limited to general requirements; mobilization; Site set-up and hoarding; demolition,  Supply and installation of framing, insulation; drywall; wall and ceiling finishings, cabinetry and counters; doors and frames; vinyl floor and base; ceramic tile; window coverings; hardware; lighting; power distribution and branch circuit; telecommunications and security wiring; HVAC; plumbing; as further specified in the specifications and drawings of the RFT document.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT -  Meeting Time:  2 PM   Meeting Date:  January 9, 2023   Location:  Woodbridge Lane Community Space located at 275 Woodbridge Ave, Vaughan, ON, L6L 2T1 

Instructions:  

  • Bidders will be provided with access to the building in order to carry out a site walk in designated locations.
  • The Region's representatives will not be responding to Bidder's questions at the site visit.  All questions must be submitted through the Bidding Website, as per instructions below.  Any information received at the site visit is considered informal and shall not form part of the bid document unless issued via Addenda.
  • All attendees must confirm their attendance to the site visit, by completing a  COVID Screening Form  for Contractors and Vendors no earlier than 24 hours prior to, and no later than 2:00 pm on January 9, 2023.  Include “-T2213” next to your last name, when completing the COVID screening, in order to identify the procurement number.  Name the Purchasing Analyst as the site contact and estimate a 1 hour meeting duration.  Bidders who do not comply with the aforementioned requirements will not be permitted to attend the meeting.
  • Only one (1) representative for each Bidder will be permitted.     
  • Where the screening shows a risk of exposure or COVID-19 symptoms are present, the Purchasing Analyst will inform the attendee they will not be permitted to attend.

BONDING - All Bids shall be accompanied by a digital Bid Bond in the amount of $40,000.00 and a digital Undertaking to Bond.  The forms of Bid Bond and Undertaking to Bond acceptable to the Region are attached as Schedules A and B to the Bid Form.
