The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK - Replacement of and modifications to one hydraulic freight elevator, one hydraulic passenger elevator, and the associated common elevator machine room in the South Incineration Building at the Duffin Creek Water Pollution Control Plant located at 901 McKay Road, Pickering MEETING: A non mandatory site meeting is scheduled for 1:30 pm on January 29, 2021 at the Duffin Creek WPCP located on 901 McKay Road, Pickering, ON, L1W 3A3. Bidders are to meet outside at the Administrative Building parking lot for sign-in. Masks and social distancing mandatory. Bidders are to submit the COVID screening form to the Region Staff on site before the start of the meeting. The COVID screening form can be downloaded from the attached link. All site protocols are to be strictly adhered to at all times during the site meeting. CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION (CORTM): Any Bids received from Bidders who have not registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA shall be rejected from further consideration. DIGITAL BID BOND: All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $250,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario. Bidders shall submit a digital Undertaking to Bond with their Bid. The Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Estimated Contract Price; and a Labour and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to 50% of the Estimated Contract Price and in a form acceptable to the Region.
