The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada. 


BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK – A general, and not necessarily complete or exact, description of the work is as follows:  The Work includes, but is not limited to, upgrades to the South Maple Reservoir located at 10588 Keele Street in Maple, ON.

Bids will be accepted from the following list of pre-qualified contractors as per Pre-qualification No. PQ-20-124:

•    Baseline Constructors Inc. 
•    Graham Construction and Engineering LP
•    Kingdom Construction Limited
•    Matheson Constructors Limited
•    Torbear Contracting Inc.

Any Bids received from Bidders not listed above shall be rejected from further consideration.

A Bidders Meeting has been scheduled at South Maple Reservoir located at 10588 Keele in Maple for the pre-qualified contractors only on March 29th, 2021 at 10:00 am.   Please confirm your attendance to Susan Hope, Senior Purchasing Analyst,   Email: susan.hope@york.ca. 

    
All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $250,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario. 

Bidders shall submit a digital Undertaking to Bond with their Bid. The Performance Bond in an amount equal to 50% of the Estimated Contract Price; and a Labour and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to 50% of the Estimated Contract Price and in a form acceptable to the Region.

Bidders are advised that the Region has implemented the Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) safety program, endorsed by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA), as a requirement on Regional construction projects. Bidders must be registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA in order to submit a Bid in response to this tender, and/or to be considered for award of the Contract.

Any Bids received from Bidders who have not registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA shall be rejected from further consideration.
