ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS ONLY submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website, HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Bids must be submitted and received by the Region no later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada. 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK -  The Region is inviting Bids from contractors for the Work that shall include culvert and storm pipe cleaning and/or flushing including but not limited to, the collection and disposal of debris materials at various Regional locations, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”). 

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• DEPOSIT:    Bidders shall submit a bid deposit in the amount of $20,000.00 to act as security for the satisfaction of the conditions of award listed in Part D of this Appendix A (RFT Particulars).
• MECP DOCUMENTION: The Bidder shall submit the following to the Region as part of the Bid. Failure to do so shall result in the rejection of the Bid:
  • Appendix ‘F’ - MECP Approval Document for receiving solid non-hazardous waste; a valid Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR), Certificate of Approval (C of A) or Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) from the MOECC constituting approval for the Supplier to transport the material collected from the culvert and storm pipe cleaning activities.
  • Appendix ‘G’ - MECP Approval Document for hauling solid non-hazardous waste; a valid Certificate of Approval (C of A) or Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) from the MOECC for the receiving waste processing plant.
