The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada.


BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK – The Regional Municipality of York is seeking Proposals from vendors to provide four (4) high speed turbo blowers for the Keswick WRRF (Water Resources Recovery Facility) Aeration Blower Replacement Project (the “Project”) (to be installed inside the blower gallery of the Keswick WRRF).
York (the “Region”) provides wastewater collection to the community of Keswick, located within the Town of Georgina, Ontario, which is processed at a treatment facility, Keswick WRRF. Keswick WRRF is an extended aeration treatment facility equipped with three (3) aeration tanks, two (2) of which are currently in service, and process air is supplied by four (4) existing centrifugal blowers located inside the blower gallery. These existing centrifugal blowers are at the end of their useful life and require replacement.
The Work includes but is not limited to include all design, engineering, supply, fabrication, delivery, commissioning, testing, training, supervision of installation, and warranty services necessary to provide a new Aeration Blower System for the for the Keswick WRRF .  The Vendor will prepare operation and maintenance manuals, record drawings, and all other required documentation.  
A web-based service is available for use by the Region, vendors, consultants and contractors to post and retrieve project documentation. It is mandatory that the Vendor use this service.


BONDS:  All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $75,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario and  a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Estimated Contract Price; and a Labour and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to 50% of the Estimated Contract Price and in a form acceptable to the Region.
