The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Proposal. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada. 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK – The Region is inviting Proposals from qualified Proponents interested in collaborating with the Region to operate and manage the new seniors-focused Hub and Community Centre in Markham, ON. The Hub and Community Centre are envisioned as places for residents of Unionville Commons and surrounding communities in Markham to access seniors-focused services, programs, and amenities. The Region will select a Lead Agency to advance the Region’s vision of providing integrated services to encourage social participation, wellness and enable an age-friendly, complete community where seniors can age in place.

MEETING:  A virtual Information Meeting will be held on April 5th, 2022 commencing at 3:00 p.pm via Microsoft Teams.  All attendees are required to submit their intent to attend to Rebecca.hockin@york.ca on or before April 4th, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. A link to the meeting will be sent once you have confirmed your attendance. The Information Meeting is not a mandatory meeting.  A copy of the presentation material will be issued by addendum for information purposes to all Bidders.
