To ensure receipt of the latest information and updates via email regarding his bid or if a Bidder has obtained this Bid Document from a third party, the onus is on the Bidder to create a Bidding System Vendor account and register as a Plan Taker for the bid opportunity at the at http://bids.york.ca 

Electronic copies of the tender documents are available for download on or after August 24, 2020 from the Region’s Bids & Tenders website at http://bids.york.caAll Bidders must log into their account and register for the bid before they can download the bid documents.  There is no cost to set up an account in the Region’s Bids and Tenders System. 

All Addenda will be issued on the Bids & Tenders website. 

A Bidders Meeting has been scheduled for the pre-qualified contractors only on September 3, 2020 via teleconference from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.

All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $250,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario.

Bidders shall submit a digital Undertaking to Bond with their Bid. The Performance Bond in an amount equal to 50% of the Estimated Contract Price; and a Labour and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to 50% of the Estimated Contract Price and in a form acceptable to the Region.

Bidders are advised that the Region has implemented the Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) safety program, endorsed by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA), as a requirement on Regional construction projects. Bidders must be registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA in order to submit a Bid in response to this tender, and/or to be considered for award of the Contract.

Any Bids received from Bidders who have not registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA shall be rejected from further consideration.
