BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This Request for Tenders (the “RFT”) is an invitation by The Regional Municipality of York (the “Region”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for construction of the
Highway 404 Mid-Block Crossing north of 16th Avenue from Leslie Street (Y.R. 12) to Woodbine Avenue (Y.R. 08) in the Cities of Richmond Hill and Markham, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”).

Prequalified Stream/Channel Restoration and Environmental Subcontractors

The following is a list of pre-qualified stream/channel restoration and environmental Subcontractors that have been approved to carry out the stream/channel restoration work portion of the Deliverables under this Contract, as qualified under Request for Pre-Qualification No. PQ-20-156:

• Cambridge Landscaping & Construction Ltd.
• Dynex Construction Inc.
• QM LP
• Stilescape Inc.

Bidders must select one of the stream/channel restoration and environmental Subcontractors pre-qualified under Request for Pre-Qualification No. PQ-20-156 for the stream/channel restoration component of the Work (Table H -  Stream Rehabilitation and Regulatory Planting Items).

Any bids that fail to meet this requirement shall be rejected from further consideration.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: 

• CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION (COR):  Any proposals received from proponents who are not Certificate of Recognition (COR) certified, who have not obtained COR equivalency or who have not submitted a valid Letter of Reciprocity shall be rejected from further consideration.
• DEPOSIT:  All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $250,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario.  Bidders shall submit a digital Undertaking to Bond with their Bid. The Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Estimated Contract Price.

Information Meeting

Bidders are invited to attend an information meeting to be held on the date, time and place set out on the Bidding Website. Attendance is recommended but not mandatory.
Bidders are encouraged to submit any questions to the Region using the ‘Submit a Question’ feature on the Bidding Website a minimum of three (3) business days before
the information meeting.
