Description: 

The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The Services include, but are not limited to, supply of all labour, materials and equipment necessary for the provision of Sewage Waste Sludge Haulage Services including but not limited to loading, hauling and disposal of material from six (6) WRRFs located within York Region.

DEPOSIT:  Bidders must submit a bid deposit in the amount of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars  ($250,000.00) when submitting their Bid. Bids received that do not include a bid deposit in a form acceptable to the Region shall be deemed noncompliant and shall be rejected. Bid Deposits must be submitted via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or Wire Transfer to the account specified in the tender document.

MEETING: A Non mandatory Bidders’ Meeting will be held on  June 22, 2022 commencing at 10:00 am at the Mount Albert WRRF, 5866 Doane Road, Mount Albert. Refer to Section 1.5 of the Bid document for the meeting agenda and other site locations. Attendance at the Information Meeting is recommended but is not mandatory. Personal Protective Equipment is required to be worn on site at all times. 

  • Attendance must be confirmed via email to joy.bello@york.ca no later than 1:00 pm on June 21, 2022 or access will be denied.
  • No questions shall be asked or answered during the site visit.
  • All bidders are encouraged to submit any questions to the Region using the ‘Submit a Question’ feature in the Bidding Website before and after the information meeting.

Each representative must complete the following online screening form http://york.ca/contractorscreening prior to the site visit. Visitors will be asked to show proof of your COVID-19 screening form and business identification to site staff in order to enter the site.
