Bids must be submitted and received by the Region no later than 1:00:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time as established by the Research Council of Canada.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by The Regional Municipality of York (the “Region”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Detailed Design, Contract Administration and Site Inspection Services for the Stouffville Zone 1 Elevated Tank Access Road, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”).

The main objectives of the Stouffville Zone 1 Elevated Tank Access Road are to:

• Construct a new access road to the Stouffville Zone 1 Elevated Tank from Bethesda Road
• Replace the soak-away pit with a holding tank and future sanitary service connection 
• Install a new re-chlorination system within the elevated tank 
• Improve the site grading to resolve storm drainage issues and building flooding
• Improve the stormwater management including a secondary outlet to Bethesda Road to accommodate major storm events
• Acquire property for the new access road (if required)

• Location: The Stouffville Zone 1 Elevated Tank located at 6842 Bethesda Sideroad in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.
