The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bids must be submitted and received by the Region no later than 1:00:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time as established by the Research Council of Canada.

BREIF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Deliverables include, but are not limited to, parking lot repairs at Maplewood Place Apartment Building for Seniors located at 71 Dunlop Street and at Evergreen Terrace Apartment Building for Seniors located at 75 Dunlop Street, in the City of Richmond Hill, and more specifically, removals, Site safety fence installation, granular base placement, grading, concrete curbs and pad construction, asphalt paving, Site lighting, earth, topsoil, sod, and clean up work, as further described in Appendix C – Form of Contract.

MANADATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• DEPOSIT:  All Bids shall be accompanied by a digital Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the Subtotal Contract Amount generated on the Bidding Website in the Schedule of Prices and a digital Undertaking to Bond. The forms of Bid Bond and Undertaking to Bond acceptable to the Region are attached as Appendix E and F.

BIDDER'S MEETING: Bidders are invited to attend a site visit / information meeting to be held on the date, time and place set out on the Bidding Website. Attendance is recommended but not mandatory.  For details regarding the site visit /information meeting, refer to the “Meeting Details” section below.
