BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK - The Region is inviting proposals from qualified Oracle Certified consulting vendors to provide Oracle Application Express (APEX) software development services for the Business Planning and Operations Support (BPOS) branch of Environmental Services. The Regional Municipality of York currently has an Oracle Application Express 18.1 (Apex) in place and is looking at developing new applications and upgrading existing applications. York Region bills the various lower tier municipalities or Local Municipalities within the Region based on water volumes captured by meters positioned throughout the York Region. Water is sourced from Peel Region, the City of Toronto and York- Region-specific sources. The current Automated Billing System (ABS) - Created in the Oracle Application Express framework - is used to prepare the volume and financial metrics, which are then communicated, via email and regular mail, to the Local Area Municipalities on a bi-monthly basis.
