BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The Regional Municipality of York is seeking qualifications from all contractors who wish to be pre-qualified as a general contractor for the construction of the Proposed Works. Onlythose general contractors,qualifiedbytheRegionasSelectedRespondents, through this RFPQ will be permitted to submit proposals during the subsequent Request for Tender process anticipated to take place in the second and third quarter of 2019. The Region has partnered with the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA) and the Towns of Aurora and East Gwillimbury to carry out a Phosphorus Removal Demonstration Project that involves retrofitting two stormwater management facilities to increase their Phosphorus removal capabilities. This Project will allow the Region to refine its total phosphorus offsetting program and opportunities for total phosphorus offsetting by way of retrofitting of stormwater management facilities. The Region intends to undertake stormwater management facility retrofits in 2019 at Tamarac Green Park in the Town of Aurora and at Green Lane and Leslie Street in the Town of East Gwillimbury.
