March 24, 2022 Re: Award of Contract No. RFT-232-21 - Hauling and Disposal of Surplus Material Collected from Roadway Maintenance Activities On behalf of the Regional Municipality of York, I wish to advise you that the contract for RFT-232-21 has been cancelled. The Region will be reissuing the tender for Hauling and Disposal of Surplus Material Collected from Roadway Maintenance Activities under the same terms and conditions. All bid takers will be advised when the new tender is released. The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website at https://bids.york.ca (the “Bidding Website”). HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m. EST. as established by the Research Council of Canada. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK - The Work includes, but is not limited to, the hauling and disposal of surplus material collected from roadway maintenance activities. DEPOSIT: All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $150,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region, and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario. Bidders shall submit a digital Undertaking to Bond with their Bid. The Performance Bond in an amount equal to 50% of the Estimated Contract Price in a form acceptable to the Region.
