The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Quotation. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK – The Region is inviting bids for the supply of all labour, materials and equipment necessary for the purchase and removal of York Region Transit surplus fleet.

MEETINGS:  Bidders are advised the surplus buses can be viewed on Thursday December 7 at the following location at times:

1.8050 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, ON L3R 2N8 at 8:30 a.m. (EST)
2. 55 Orlando Avenue, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 0B4 at 10:30 a.m. (EST)
3. 18110 Yonge Street, Newmarket, ON L3Y 8V1 at 12:30 p.m. (EST) 

*Note: Refer to Appendix 1 of the RFQ for the list of buses available and their location.

Viewing of the buses and Equipment is recommended but is not mandatory.

All attendees MUST:

• Confirm their attendance prior to the Site visit with the Region’s Purchasing Analyst by emailing Susan.Elkins@york.ca no later than December 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time). Preference to only have one representative from each bidder is preferred.

SITE SAFETY PROTOCOL:  The following Personal Protective Equipment is required to be worn on site at all times:

• Safety Helmet, High Visibility Clothing and Protective Footwear
