The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada. 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK - Dr Kay Sewage Pumping Station Upgrades at 115 Dr Kay Drive in the Township of King, including, but not limited to, the following:

•  Install and operate a temporary bypass pumping system during construction

•  Replace the two existing submersible pumps and accessories with new

•  Replace and upgrade MCC, VFD and associated electrical equipment

•  Upgrade misc. building mechanical system and backup generator oil supply equipment

The Bidders’ Meeting will be held on November 16, 2018 commencing at 10:00 a.m. at Dr Kay Sewage Pumping Station located at 115 Dr Kay Drive in the Township of King.

All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $250,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario.

Bidders are advised that the Region has implemented the Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) safety program, endorsed by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA), as a requirement on Regional construction projects. Bidders must be registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA in order to submit a Bid in response to this tender, and/or to be considered for award of the Contract.

Any Bids received from Bidders who have not registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA shall be rejected from further consideration.
