The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time as established by the Research Council of Canada. 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This Request for Tenders (the “RFT") is an invitation by The Regional Municipality of York (the “Region”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for sampling, testing and characterization, removal, hauling/transporting, and reuse and/or disposal of excavated material that has been collected from various roadway maintenance activities on roads

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• DEPOSIT:  All Bids shall be accompanied by a digital Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the Subtotal Contract Amount and a digital Undertaking to Bond. The forms of Bid Bond and Undertaking to Bond acceptable to the Region are attached as Appendix E and F.
• MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, CONSERVATION AND PARKS (MECP) APPROVAL DOCUMENTS OR REGISTRATIONS (as set out in Appendix A - Mandatory Technical Requirements, Conditions of Award):
  • Receiving Solid Non-Hazardous Waste
  • Hauling Solid Non-Hazardous Waste
• Proposed Sampling and Testing Protocol: The Bidder shall submit a proposed Material sampling and testing protocol (“Protocol”)
