The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bids must be submitted and received by the Region no later than 1:00:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This RFT is an invitation by the Region to prospective Bidders to submit Bids for the supply and delivery of authorized Ford original equipment manufacturer parts and service for York Region Paramedic Services, as further described in Part A of Appendix A (RFT Particulars).

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: 

• OTHER: It is a Mandatory Requirement of this RFT that Bidders must have either one (1) or both of the following current and valid certifications as per the Ontario College of Trades: 
  • Automotive Service Technician Certification 310S
  • Truck and Coach Technician Certification 310T
  • The Bidder must be an authorized Ford OEM dealer for both parts and Service
  • The Bidder must possess a valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) card issued under the authority of the Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (S.C. 1999, c. 33) for their business.
  • The Supplier must be authorized to operate as a public garage within the municipality in which their facility is located.
  • The Supplier must have a minimum of one hoist that can service vehicles that have a gross vehicle weight of up to 14,000 lbs.
