DESCRIPTION: Sutton Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) is located at 5741 Black River Road in the Town of Georgina. The facility was constructed in 2003 and services the community of Sutton and Jackson’s Point. Currently, it has a rated capacity of 3,412 cubic meters per day and utilizes sequencing batch reactor (SBR) technology for sewage treatment. A Schedule C Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) has been completed for the Sutton WRRF expansion in 2010. The Region intends to issue a Request for Tender (RFT) in late 2019 to early 2020 for upgrades to the Sutton Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF). The Proposed Work will consist of, but is not limited to, installing a new equalization tank, chemical storage upgrades, and installing new potable watermain and new developer sanitary forcemain. This RFPQ is open to all Respondents who wish to be pre-qualified as a General Contractor to undertake the construction of all of the Proposed Work. To be pre-qualified as a General Contractor, the Respondent must also propose one (1) civil/structural Subcontractor, one (1) mechanical Subcontractor, one (1) sanitary forcemain Subcontractor and one (1) electrical Subcontractor together with their qualifications for evaluation. A Respondent must submit their own name and qualifications to perform the role of at least one of the Subcontractors (civil/structural, mechanical, sanitary forcemain and/or electrical). Only those Respondents qualified by the Region as Selected Respondents will be permitted to submit bids for the Proposed Work. A more detailed scope of work will be provided to the Selected Respondents during the anticipated subsequent RFT process. Proof of registration in a form acceptable to the Region at its Sole Discretion confirming that the Respondent is registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA is required with the submission.
