The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada.
The following is a list of pre-qualified contractors that have been approved to bid on this Request for Tender (“RFT”) under Request for Pre-Qualification No. PQ-19-229:
Bidders intending to submit a Bid must be one of the contractors pre-qualified under Request for Qualification No. PQ-19-229 as listed above. Any Bids received from Bidders not listed above shall be rejected from further consideration. CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION (COR): Bidders are advised that the Region has implemented the Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) safety program, endorsed by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA), as a requirement on Regional construction projects. Bidders must be registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA in order to submit a Bid in response to this RFT, and/or to be considered for award of the Contract. For further details about COR including the registration process and fees, please contact the Centre for Health and Safety Innovation at 1-800-263-5024 or visit their website at www.ihsa.ca/cor. MEETING: A non-mandatory site meeting has been scheduled on October 28 2020 commencing at 11:00 a.m. 20849 Dalton Road, Sutton, Town of Georgina, ON. Contractors attending the Site Meeting must bring appropriate personal protective equipment (including CSA certified boots, vest and hard hat),maintain 2 meters distance (6 feet) and wear a mask as per COVID-19 regulations. Gloves are also strongly encouraged. Please meet at the rear of the building, north side. DEPOSIT: All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $150,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario. Bidders shall submit a digital Undertaking to Bond with their Bid. The Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Estimated Contract Price; and a Labour and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to 50% of the Estimated Contract Price and in a form acceptable to the Region.
