April 3, 2023 Re: Cancellation of Bid No. RFTC-657-22-YN20003 Minor Capital Works and Emergency Repairs to YorkNet’s Fibre Optic Network. On behalf of the Regional Municipality of York, I wish to advise you that the bid for RFTC-657-22-YN20003 has been cancelled. The Region will be reissuing the RFT for Minor Capital Works and Emergency Repairs to YorkNet’s Fibre Optic Network. All bid takers will be advised when the new RFT is released. The Region would like to thank you for your bid and invites you to consult the Region’s Bids and Tender website at http://bids.york.ca for further bid opportunities. Sincerely, The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This Request for Tenders (the “RFT”) is an invitation by The Regional Municipality of York (the “Region”), on behalf of YTN Telecom Network Inc. (“YorkNet”), to prospective bidders to submit bids for minor capital works and emergency repairs to YorkNet’s fibre optic network at various locations in the Region of York, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”). DEPOSIT: All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $250,000.00 (Two Hundred Fifty thousand) in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario. The form of Bid Bond acceptable to the Region and YorkNet is attached as Appendix E. Bidders shall upload the digital Bid Bond in the document upload field titled “Bid Bond (Digital Bond)” in the Documents & Bonding step in the Bidding Website. Bidders shall submit a digital Undertaking to Bond with their Bid. The Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Estimated Contract Price; and a Labour and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to 50% of the Estimated Contract Price and in a form acceptable to the Region. The form of Undertaking to Bond acceptable to the Region and YorkNet is attached as Appendix F.
