The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS of Responses submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Pre-Qualification. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK - This Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ) is open to all general contractors who wish to be considered as a pre-qualified contractor for the construction of the Southeast District Maintenance Yard and Snow Management Facility in Markham. CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION (CORTM) - The Region has implemented the Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) safety program, endorsed by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA), as a requirement on Regional construction projects.
Any Bids received from Bidders who are not CORTM certified, who have not obtained CORTM equivalency or who have not submitted a valid Letter of Reciprocity shall be rejected from further consideration. QUESTIONS: Questions related to this RFPQ shall be submitted to the Region through the Bidding Website by clicking on the ‘Submit a Question’ button. Re: Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ) No. RFPQ-658-22 General Contractors for Construction of Southeast District Maintenance Yard and Snow Management Facility at 10988 and 10990 Warden Avenue in the City of Markham
The Regional Municipality of York would like to thank you for responding to the Request for Pre-Qualification No. RFPQ-658-22. After evaluation, we are pleased to advise the following contractors have been prequalified.
1. Aquicon Construction Co. Ltd.
2. Chandos Construction Ltd.
In accordance with the RFPQ document Section 6 – Selection Process, the Region is exercising it’s right to pre-qualify additional respondents by inviting submissions from additional general contractors, through the issuance of a supplementary RFPQ document.
The supplementary RFPQ will be posted on the Region’s Bidding Website soon. Respondents who did not pre-qualify under RFPQ-658-22 will be permitted to submit on the subsequent RFPQ process. Debriefs may be requested in accordance with the Region’s Bid Debriefing Protocol.
Prequalified contractors will be notified when the subsequent tender is being released, which is estimated to be January 2023.
