website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT
BE ACCEPTED. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK – A general, and not necessarily complete or exact, description of the Work is as follows: Providing all labour, materials, equipment, and services that are necessary to fulfill the requirements of the construction of a gravel parking lot at the Davis Drive Tract of York Regional Forest located at 17242 McCowan Road, in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $20,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario. Bidders are advised that a virtual pre-tender bidders meeting will be held on June 29, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Please submit your intent to attend and any questions by June 25, 2020. A link to the meeting will be sent once you have confirmed your attendance. Alternatively bidders are encouraged to go to the site to familiarize themselves with the location. Bidders are advised that the Region has implemented the Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) safety program, endorsed by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA), as a requirement on Regional construction projects. Bidders must be registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA in order to submit a Bid in response to this tender, and/or to be considered for award of the Contract. Any Bids received from Bidders who have not registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA shall be rejected from further consideration.
