BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK - The Consultant’s scope of work shall include preparation of the design and specifications as listed in this RFP as well as any supporting systems, equipment, or infrastructure required to produce a fully functional facility that complies with applicable standards, regulations, and good engineering practice. The Consultant will be required to develop at least three concept plans for review by the Region. A final concept approved by the Region will form the basis for preliminary and detailed design. The consultant will be responsible for developing the final design and ensuring that it meets all relevant technical and operational requirements. The RFP document includes Appendices A. B, D, E, G, I, J, K, L, M, N and P. In addition, Proponents will be provided with the confidential Appendices C, F and H conditional upon the delivery by email to Ivy Ho, Senior Purchasing Analyst, the Procurement Office Ivy.Ho@york.ca of: Upon the Region’s review and approval of a fully executed Confidentiality Agreement, Appendices C, F and H will be made available through a secure website (log in details will be provided). Proponents are invited to attend an Information Meeting to be held on November 7, 2019 at 10:00 am in Room 13020 at 145 Harry Walker Parkway North in Newmarket. Attendance at the Information Meeting is recommended but is not mandatory. Questions or request for Clarification, Changes or Amendments to the Bid Documents, are to be directed to Ivy Ho, email: ivy.ho@york.ca no later than 4:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on November 18, 2019 or five business days prior to closing should the closing date be extended. No questions or requests for clarifications, changes or amendments of the Proposal Documents will be entertained after this time unless York Region deems at its sole discretion to do so via addenda. On behalf of the Council of The Region Municipality of York, I wish to advise that the bid received from IBI Group Professional Services (Canada) Inc. for Contract No. P-19-150 for the provision of Consulting Services for Construction of Southeast District Maintenance Yard and Snow Management Facility at 10988 and 10990 Warden Avenue in the City of Markham has been accepted in the amount of $3,070,000.00, excluding HST.
