The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bids must be submitted and received by the Region no later than 1:00:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time as established by the Research Council of Canada. BREIF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Deliverables include, but are not limited to, the renovation of 1,011.3 SM (10,885 SF) of office space on the ground floor, 680 SM (7,319 SF) of office space on the second floor including the corridor and the washrooms by the elevators, 600 SM (6,457 SF) of office space on the third floor, and 732 SM (7,882 SF) of office space on the fourth floor at the York Region Administrative Centre, known as package D. MANADATORY REQUIREMENTS: PREQUALIFICATION REQUIRED: The following is a list of prequalified contractors that have been approved to bid on this Request for Tender under Request for Prequalification No. RFPQ-857-22
Any submission received from vendors not listed above shall be rejected from further consideration. CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION (CORTM): Any Bids received from Bidders who are not CORTM certified, who have not obtained CORTM equivalency or who have not submitted a valid Letter of Reciprocity shall be rejected from further consideration. DEPOSIT: All Bids shall be accompanied by a digital Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the Subtotal Contract Amount generated on the Bidding Website in the Schedule of Prices and a digital Undertaking to Bond. The forms of Bid Bond and Undertaking to Bond acceptable to the Region are attached as Appendix E and F BIDDER'S MEETING: Bidders are invited to attend a site visit / information meeting to be held on the date, time and place set out on the Bidding Website. Attendance is recommended but not mandatory. For details regarding the site visit /information meeting, refer to the “Meeting Details” section below. On behalf of the Council of The Regional Municipality of York, I wish to advise that the bid received from Trisect Construction Corporation for Contract No. RFTC-1339-23-C23002 for Renovation Projects Including Office Space, Corridor, and Washroom Renovations, known as Package D, at the York Region Administrative Centre, Located at 17250 Yonge Street in the Town of Newmarket, has been accepted in the amount of $6,635,000.00, excluding HST. This award is for a term of 330 Working Days from Notice to Commence.
