BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Work includes, but is not limited to, the design and rehabilitation of the following culverts at the following locations in the City of Markham:
Bidders are advised that the Work will be performed during the 2023 construction season. MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: 1. Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) Safety Program The Region has implemented the Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) safety program, endorsed by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA), as a requirement on Regional construction projects. The Region will only accept Bids from Bidders who:
Any Bids received from Bidders who are not CORTM certified, who have not obtained CORTM Equivalency or who have not submitted a valid Letter of Reciprocity shall be rejected from further consideration. Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (“MECP”) Approval Documents MECP Approval Document for Receiving Solid Non-Hazardous Waste As part of their Bids, Bidders shall submit a copy of the Environmental Approval Document issued by the MECP for the waste disposal site or waste transfer station proposed to receive solid non-hazardous waste materials, in the form of a/an:

DEPOSIT: All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $40,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario. Bidders shall submit a digital Undertaking to Bond with their Bid. The Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Estimated Contract Price.
