The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK –A general, and not necessarily complete or exact, description of the work is as follows: The Work includes, but is not limited to, the Construction of #1 District York Regional Police Headquarters at 429 Harry Walker Parkway South in the Town of Newmarket. Bids will be accepted from the following list of pre-qualified contractors as per Pre-qualification No. PQ-19-255 AND PQ-20-53: General Contractors

Mechanical Subcontractors
Any Bids received from Bidders not listed above shall be rejected from further consideration. A Bidders Meeting has been scheduled for the pre-qualified contractors only on June 10, 2020 onsite at 429 Harry Walker South at 10:00 am. ONLY 2 people per pre-qualified contractor can attend. Contractors must have proper PPE and maintain social distancing. All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $250,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario. Bidders are advised that the Region has implemented the Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) safety program, endorsed by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA), as a requirement on Regional construction projects. Bidders must be registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA in order to submit a Bid in response to this tender, and/or to be considered for award of the Contract. Any Bids received from Bidders who have not registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA shall be rejected from further consideration.
