The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK - The Work includes, but is not limited to, Sutton Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) – New Equalization Tank and Upgrades consisting of new equalization tank, SBR inlet channel modifications, chemical system upgrades, new electric actuators for existing valves, supernatant discharge modification, new municipal water supply, Developer’s sanitary forcemain along Sutton WRRF access road, meter chamber connection and new counter/cupboards in control room. The following is a list of pre-qualified contractors that have been approved to bid on this Request for Tender (“RFT”) under Request for Pre-Qualification No. PQ-19-295:
Bidders intending to submit a Bid must be one of the contractors pre-qualified under Request for Qualification No. PQ-19-295 as listed above. All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $250,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario. A non-mandatory on site bidders meeting will be held on May 28, 2020 at Sutton Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) – 5741 Black River Road, Sutton, Town of Georgina Prequalified General Contractors (GC) will have the opportunity to send one (1) representative to view the site and existing infrastructure on May 28, 2020 by selecting any of the following time slots on a first come first serve basis.
o 1pm – 1:45pm Only one (1) representative from each pre-qualified GC will be allowed on site for a maximum of 45 minutes. Interested parties are required to notify the Procurement Office, attention Ivy Ho, Senior Purchasing Analyst by email : ivy.ho@york.ca of selected tim Bidders are advised that the Region has implemented the Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) safety program, endorsed by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA), as a requirement on Regional construction projects. Bidders must be registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA in order to submit a Bid in response to this tender, and/or to be considered for award of the Contract. Any Bids received from Bidders who have not registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA shall be rejected from further consideration.
