Description: |
HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bids must be submitted and received by the Region no later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK The Region requires design, construction administration, and site inspection services for recommended upgrades from the 2021 Mount Albert Water Supply Upgrades Class EA to implement oxidation-filtration treatment at water production facilities (wells) and for upgrades to maximize servicing capacity at the Mount Albert Water Recovery Facility (WRRF) without changing the facility’s rated capacity outlined in the Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA). The Town of East Gwillimbury (the Town) has identified that servicing for an additional 2,000 persons is required to complete buildout of residential lands within the Mount Albert community. To address the servicing needs, the Region conducted an optimization study that identified minor upgrades to increase the servicing capacity of the Mount Albert WRRF without triggering a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA). To address the upgrades needed for the Mount Albert Water System to support the additional requested 2,000 persons, a Water System Needs Assessment Study is required in addition to the resulting design, construction administration, and site inspection services for the upgrades at the two Groundwater Treatment Facilities. The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this RFP. Questions related to this Request for Proposal (RFP) shall be submitted to the Region through the Bidding Website by clicking on the ‘Submit a Question’ button.
