The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The 2026-2030 Business Plan should, but not limited to prepare the Region’s transit system for a new era of growth. The Five-Year Business Plan will incorporate the key principles of:
The 5-Year Business Plan is an update to the current 2021-2025 Plan and will build upon initiatives implemented in the 2021-2025 Annual Transit Initiatives. The 5-Year Business Plan will involve the analysis of projected growth in the Region over the next five years to identify potential transit ridership growth in the Region. A background analysis to identify key areas of new development in conjunction with municipal plans is essential. The Plan will include a review of work currently being undertaken with respect to transit and transportation services in the Region, and identify gaps or opportunities for service improvements including route extensions, frequency improvements, unmet or untapped markets, etc. The 5-Year Business Plan will be a comprehensive document described in the document.
