The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada.

DESCRIPTION: This RFPQ is open to all contractors who wish to be considered as a pre-qualified general contractor, waterproofing subcontractor or reservoir restoration subcontractor to undertake the construction of the Proposed Works. From the submissions received, the Region shall generate a list of qualified general contractors who will be invited to bid on the Proposed Work(s). The Prequalified General Contractors will only be able to carry bids for the reservoir waterproofing works from the Selected Respondents prequalified as waterproofing subcontractors and bids for the reservoir restoration works from the Selected Respondents prequalified as reservoir restoration subcontractors. 

The Region has implemented the Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) safety program, endorsed by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA), as a requirement on Regional construction projects. 

The Region will only accept Bids from Bidders who: 

(a) are CORTM certified;

(b) have obtained CORTM equivalency; or

(c) have obtained a valid Letter of Reciprocity issued by the IHSA, indicating that they are in the process of obtaining CORTM equivalency. A copy of the valid Letter of Reciprocity must be submitted with the Bid.

Any Bids received from Bidders who are not CORTM certified, who have not obtained CORTM equivalency or who have not submitted a valid Letter of Reciprocity shall be rejected from further consideration.
