BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders
website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT
BE ACCEPTED. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK - (1) Full depth pavement removal and asphalt paving on Bayview Avenue (Y.R. 34) from 43m north of Vandorf Sideroad (Y.R. 41) to 450m north of Bloomington Road (Y.R. 40); (2) Construction of a Multi-Use Path for the Lake to Lake Pedestrian and Cycling Trail – Aurora Section; and (3) Intersection modifications at Vandorf Sideroad and Bayview Avenue for AODA compliance, all in the Town of Aurora All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $250,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario. Bidders shall submit a digital Undertaking to Bond with their Bid. The Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Estimated Contract Price; and a Labour and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to 50% of the Estimated Contract Price and in a form acceptable to the Region. Bidders are advised that the Region has implemented the Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) safety program, endorsed by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA), as a requirement on Regional construction projects. Bidders must be registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA in order to submit a Bid in response to this tender, and/or to be considered for award of the Contract. Any Bids received from Bidders who have not registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA shall be rejected from further consideration. On behalf of the Council of The Regional Municipality of York, I wish to advise that the bid received from Forest Contractors Ltd. for Contract No. 19-162 - Full Depth Pavement Removal and Asphalt Paving on Bayview Avenue (Y.R. 34) from 43m north of Vandorf Sideroad (Y.R. 41) to 450m north of Bloomington Road (Y.R. 40); Full Depth Pavement Removal and Asphalt Paving on Bayview Avenue (Y.R. 34) from 43m north of Vandorf Sideroad (Y.R. 41) to 450m north of Bloomington Road (Y.R. 40); Construction of a Multi-Use Path for the Lake to Lake Pedestrian and Cycling Trail – Aurora Section; and Intersection Modifications at Vandorf Sideroad and Bayview Avenue for AODA Compliance. All in the Town of Aurora has been accepted in the amount of $3,060,743.95 excluding HST.
