The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada.

DESCRIPTION: The Regional Municipality of York (the “Region”) intends to procure the deliverables described in Section A of the RFPQ Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”). The Deliverables include, as a component :

• Replacing and upgrading the existing GWTP intake mussel control system, sampling system and outfall. 
• Site upgrades and improvements of the water treatment plant site to address stormwater drainage deficiencies, improve site access and security. 
• Twinning the existing 600 mm raw water watermain from the low lift pumping station (LLPS) to the GWTP for redundancy

This Request for Prequalification (“RFPQ”) is an invitation by the Region to prospective respondents to qualify for eligibility to:

1. provide the Deliverables in the role of the general contractor ; and/or
2. provide the Marine Deliverables in the role of a subcontractor to the general contractor; and/or
3. provide the Microtunnel Deliverables in the role of a subcontractor to the general contractor.

CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION (CORTM): Any Bids received from Bidders who are not CORTM certified, who have not obtained CORTM equivalency or who have not submitted a valid Letter of Reciprocity shall be rejected from further consideration.
