BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK – York Region is seeking the services of an experienced Media Buying Agency to provide both strategic and tactical support to multiple staff members from Corporate Communications and departmental communications teams in the development and delivery of various media purchases. 

The Contractor will be capable of soliciting best quality traditional print, out-of-home, digital and social media marketing opportunities, deliver the highest level of customer service, to the Region, from time to time on a non-exclusive basis. The Contractor will be paid a commission based on the value of each contract approved by the Region and entered into between the broker and the media platform/channel.

While there is no guarantee as to the amount of work that may be provided to the Contractor, for information purposes only, Contractors are advised that the Region spent approximately $1,000,000.00 for similar media purchases last year (2019).  The Region makes no guarantee to any assignments or volume of work to be assigned to any Contractor over the term of the Contract.

The Region is inviting Proposals from qualified individuals and firms to provide goods and services with respect to the Work as described.  The Work includes, but is not limited to:

The Services include, but are not limited to, working with Corporate Communications as well as communications teams within the Region’s departments to: provide strategic, evidence-based and experience-based counsel on the topic of media buying (strategy development), recommending new strategies and/or tactics, purchasing media on behalf of the Region, and reporting and analyzing results.
