The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bids must be submitted and received by the Region not later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  The Southeast Collector Corrosion Control Facility (CCF) is located on the North East Corner of Rouge Bank Drive on 9th Line in the City of Markham, Ontario, and has been designed to inject hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) solution (design strength 50%) into the Southeast Collector Trunk Sewer (SeC) to control odour and corrosion generation in the wastewater

The main objectives of the Optimization Study for the Corrosion Control Facility are to review the existing system operation and summarize the recommendations in the final report. Summary to include key information, including:

• System Design Optimization Study (Technical Memorandum # 1), Alternative Chemicals for Odour and Corrosion Control Study (TM 2), Chemical Storage System Study (TM 3), and Chemical Dosing System Study (TM 4) at various sewage flow rates.
• Operational and safety modifications and upgrades to the existing dosing system, with conceptual drawings and cost estimates.

MEETING:  Bidders are invited to attend a non mandatory information meeting to be held on August 31, 2021 via Microsoft Teams, commencing at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time. All attendees are required to contact the Purchasing Analyst listed in the Bid Document or below on or before 1 p.m. on August 31, 2021 to request access to the Bidders’ Meeting. 

All bidders are encouraged to submit any questions to the Region using the ‘Submit a Question’ feature in the Bidding Website, a minimum of three (3) Business Days before the information meeting.
