Bids must be submitted and received by the Region no later than 1:00:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. 
 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Region is seeking qualified Supplier that can support research projects and/or lead pilot projects involving innovative solutions relevant to the Public Works department. 

Category 1: Water and Wastewater Management 

• At least one key personnel must hold one of the following relevant professional designations:
  • P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) – for infrastructure, treatment, and system design
  • P.Geo. (Professional Geoscientist) – for groundwater, hydrogeology, and source water protection
  • Water/Wastewater Operator Certification – for operational expertise
  • CPSWQ (Certified Professional in StormWater Quality)

Category 2: Regional Roads and Traffic Systems

• At least one key personnel must hold one of the following relevant professional designations:
  • P.Eng. – for road design, traffic systems, and infrastructure planning
  • PTOE (Professional Traffic Operations Engineer)
  • C.E.T. (Certified Engineering Technologist)
  • RCCA (Road Construction Contract Administrator)

Category 3: Transit Planning and Operations

• At least one key personnel must hold one of the following relevant professional designations:
  • P.Eng. – for fleet electrification, transit infrastructure, and systems integration
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) – for transit planning and implementation
  • RPP (Registered Professional Planner) – for transit network planning
  • C.E.T. – for transit facility design and maintenance

Category 4: Solid Waste Diversion

• At least one key personnel must hold one of the following relevant professional designations:
  • SWANA Certification (Solid Waste Association of North America)
  • P.Eng. – for facility design and waste processing technologies

Category 5: Natural Heritage and Forestry 

• At least one key personnel must hold one of the following relevant professional designations:
  • R.P.F. (Registered Professional Forester)
  • ISA Certified Arborist / Urban Forest Professional

Category 6: Climate Change Mitigation and Energy Conservation

• At least one key personnel must hold the following relevant professional designations:
  • P.Eng. – for energy systems, building retrofits, and infrastructure design
  • CEM (Certified Energy Manager)
  • LEED Accredited Professional
