• Waste Management of Canada Corporation

Any Bids received from Bidders not listed above shall be rejected from further consideration.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK -  The Work includes, but is not limited to:

• Provision of equipment, staff, goods, and services with respect to managing and operating the Facilities, excluding the HHW Depots located within each of the Facilities. For greater certainty, the HHW Depots located within each of the Facilities are not part of the Scope of Work;
• Provision of  ground maintenance services for the Facilities;
• Transportation and haulage of materials from the CECs and GTS to the designated recycling and waste disposal facilities as identified in the Bid Form and the provision of resources required to provide this service, in accordance with and all as more particularly described in Schedule B (Specifications) and the Contract Terms and Conditions.

MEETING: A Non mandatory Bidders’ Meeting will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 commencing at 9:00 am at the Elgin Mills CEC, located at 1124 Elgin Mills Road East, in the Town of Richmond Hill, followed by a site examination at 11:00 am at the Georgina Transfer Station located at 23068 Warden Avenue, in the Town of Georgina.  The McCleary Court operation is similar to the Elgin Mills CEC and therefore a site examination will not be provided by the Region. However, Bidders may visit the McCleary Court CEC, located at 130 McCleary Court in the City of Vaughan on their own schedule. Attendance at the Information Meeting is recommended but is not mandatory.

Each representative must complete the following online screening form http://york.ca/contractorscreening prior to the site visit. Visitors will be asked to show proof of your COVID-19 screening form and business identification to site staff in order to enter the site.

DEPOSIT: All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $1,000,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario.  Bidders shall submit a digital Undertaking to Bond with their Bid. The Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Estimated Contract Price.
