BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK -  Railway level crossing rehabilitation at the following locations in the Regional Municipality of York:

Location A – Warden Avenue, north of Aurora Road in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville (CN Railway – Mile Marker 32.94 Bala Subdivision)

Location B – Vivian Road, east of Kennedy Road in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville (CN Railway – Mile Marker 35.44 Bala Subdivision)

Location C – Park Road, north of Ravenshoe Road in the Town of Georgina (CN Railway – Mile Marker 48.46 Bala Subdivision)

Location D – Kennedy Road, north of Highway 7 in the City of Markham (Metrolinx – Mile Marker 49.42 Uxbridge Subdivision)

Location E – Islington Avenue, north of Steeles in the City of Vaughan (CP Railway – Mile Marker 9.95 MacTier Subdivision)

Location F – Kennedy Road, north of Steeles Avenue in the City of Markham (Metrolinx – Mile Marker 52.40 Uxbridge Subdivision)

Location G – Mulock Drive, west of Bayview Avenue in the Town of Newmarket (Metrolinx – Mile Marker 32.75 Newmarket Subdivision)

Location H – Yonge Street, south of Mount Albert Road in the Town of East Gwillimbury (Metrolinx – Mile Marker 37.71 Newmarket Subdivision)

Location I – 14th Avenue, east of Donald Cousens Parkway in the City of Markham (CP Railway – Mile Marker 175.71 Havelock Subdivision)

Location J – Highway 7, west of Kennedy Road in the City of Markham (Metrolinx – Mile Marker 50.15 Uxbridge Subdivision)

All Bids shall be accompanied by a digital Bid Bond in the amount of $75,000.00 and a digital Undertaking to Bond. The forms of Bid Bond and Undertaking to Bond acceptable to the Region are attached as Schedules A and B to the Bid Form.
 

Bidders are advised that the Region has implemented the Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) safety program, endorsed by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA), as a requirement on Regional construction projects. Bidders must be registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA in order to submit a Bid in response to this tender, and/or to be considered for award of the Contract.

Any Bids received from Bidders who have not registered for the CORTM Safety Program with the IHSA shall be rejected from further consideration.
